What we do NOT collect

• Chat messages — never stored. Messages are relayed in memory and immediately discarded. There is no chat database, no message logs, no backups of conversations.
• Call audio/video — calls are peer-to-peer and never pass through our servers as media.
• Guest identity — guests exist only as a nickname in your browser session.

What we collect from registered users

• Email address (for verification and account recovery)
• Username and chosen display color
• Date of birth (to verify you are 18+)
• Optional: gender, city

Product updates consent

At registration you may optionally consent to receive emails about new products from EnterChatRooms. This is opt-in, and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any such email. We never sell or share your data with third parties.

Technical metadata

For abuse prevention only, we may temporarily hold connection metadata (IP address, connection time) in server memory — used for rate limiting and temporary bans. This never includes message content.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in (or to remember your guest nickname for the session). Advertising partners on listing pages may use their own cookies, subject to their policies.
